A fire that broke out at a commercial building in Pokhara on Saturday has been doused after around three hours.
A fire that started at Saleways Supermarket located at Lakeside Centre at around 3:45pm was contained at around 6:30pm, police said, adding no human casualties have been reported.
According to Gyan Khadka, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kaski, a team of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and District Police managed to extinguish the fire believed to be caused by an electric short-circuit.
“Other nearby shops were also damaged due to the fire, and details of the damage are yet to be ascertained,” said Khadka.
The traffic from Hallan Chowk to Barahi Chowk had come to a standstill due to the fire.
