Former Nepal Army Chief of Army Staff Rookmangud Katawal has been admitted to the Chhauni-based Birendra Army Hospital.
The 75-year-old, who has been suffering from a kidney-related ailment for a long time, was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after he experienced health complications.
According to Brigadier General Krishna Prasad Bhandari, who is also the spokesperson at the hospital, Katawal is currently undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU).
“Katawal had come to the hospital on Wednesday for his regular dialysis. He was admitted to the hospital after he faced complications. He has been admitted to the ICU but is out of danger for now,” informed Bhandari.
