UML maintains lead in vote count for PR seats
Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) are in second and third place respectively.Post Report
The CPN-UML has maintained its lead in the vote count tally under the proportional representation (PR) category in the federal elections with over 10,359,550 votes counted so far.
As of 6:15pm on Thursday, UML has garnered 2,766,976 votes. The Nepali Congress is trailing UML with 2,635,852 votes.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) is in the third position as per the latest update securing 1,160,898 votes.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party is in fourth place securing 1,114,639 votes, according to the Election Commission.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party is in fifth place with 585,257 votes.
Likewise, the Janata Samajbadi Party has bagged 420,924 votes as per the latest update, while the CK Raut-led Janamat Party has bagged 394,276 votes.
The CPN (Unified Socialist) is in the eighth position with 293,957 votes.
Meanwhile, under the first-past-the-post category, the Congress has topped the seat tally as its candidates have registered a victory in 55 constituencies.
The UML is placed second with a win in 44 constituencies.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) is placed third in the seat tally winning 17 seats as the CPN (Unified Socialist) is placed fourth with registering victory in ten constituencies.
