United States Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson called on Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Raju Aryal on Friday.
During the courtesy call, they discussed Nepal-US bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest between the two countries, said DSP Shailendra Thapa, APF Assistant Spokesperson.
It is the first meeting by the US envoy with the APF chief after the former assumed his office.
Thompson had arrived in Kathmandu on October 13 to take up his new diplomatic assignment. He replaced Randy Berry, who was nominated as the new US envoy to Namibia.
