NC’s Durlav Thapa takes lead in Bhaktapur-2
As of 7:45am on Monday, Thapa has received 2,131 votes. Mahesh Basnet of CPN-UML is second with 1,632 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Durlav Thapa has taken an early lead in vote counting for Bhaktapur-2. As of 7:45am on Monday, Thapa has received 2,131 votes.
He is followed by Mahesh Basnet of CPN-UML at 1,632 votes, according to the Election Commission.
The Rabi Lamichhane-led Rastriya Swatantra Party is third in the election race in the constituency. Sajan BK of the party has reived 424 votes so far.
The votes cast at three voting centres—Kaushaltar of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-3, Sirutar of Suryabinayak Municipality-1 and Katunje of Suryabinayak Municipality-5—are being counted right now.
Chief of District Election Office, Narendra Prasad Neupane, said that Bhaktapur recorded a 71.97 percent turnout.
