The Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists on Sunday announced its decision to confer Govinda Pokharel, Kantipur Daily’s journalist, with Environmental Journalism Award 2022.
The forum made its announcement on the occasion of the World Environment Day celebrated on June 5.
Pokhrel has been reporting on issues related to science and technology, wildlife, climate change and biodiversity.
The winner was decided on the recommendation of a jury comprising Arjun Dhakal, Chandra Shekhar Karki and Juddha Bahadur Gurung.
The award will be presented to the winner in the forum's next general meeting.
