Kantipur daily’s Binu Subedi has been chosen for this year’s Gopal Gotame Memorial Award for her outstanding work in creative journalism.

According to the award selection committee, Subedi has been selected for the award in recognition of her creative reporting on social and political issues..

The award, established in the name of Birgunj-based senior journalist Gopal Gotame under the Dip-Govinda Memorial Trust by littérateur Dhruva Chandra Gautam, carries a purse of Rs 10,000 and a felicitation letter.

The award will be conferred amid a ceremony on July 22.
