Constitution Day is being observed across the nation today.
The third of the Nepali month of Ashwin, or September 20, is marked by the government as the day the new Constitution of Nepal was promulgated through the Constituent Assembly on September 20, 2015.
A programme at Tundikhel in Kathmandu was attended by President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, and Cabinet ministers. As a part of the function, personnel from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force carried out a march-past while others from various organisations displayed a cultural parade.
