Ultralight aircraft crashes at Pokhara Airport; pilot and passenger safe

An ultralight aircraft met with an accident while landing at the Pokhara Airport on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the aircraft with call sign 9N AMK belonging to Heli Air Nepal Pvt Ltd skidded off the runway and hit the fence wire at 2 pm today. The aircraft had taken off from the airport at 1:45 pm.
French pilot Erik was in command of the aircraft while Anish Bhattachan was the passenger. Both the blades of the aircraft were damaged in the accident.
According to Kashi Raj Sharma, an information officer at the Civil Aviation Authority, Pokhara, both the pilot and passenger are safe.
An ultralight aircraft is a two-seater small aircraft with powered engine designed to carry only two people.
