SALYAN: A 26-year-old woman died of complications during her baby’s delivery in her residence in Bangad Kupinde Municipality-8, Salyan, on Saturday. According to Devsthal Health Post, Premkala Thapa died of excessive bleeding as she was not brought in to the health facility on time. Maternal mortality rate is still high in the district due to a lack of awareness on prenatal and postpartum care. (PR)
