The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) unanimously endorsed the ambassadorial nominees recommended recently by the government for four countries. A meeting of the PHC held on Sunday endorsed their names.
The government had recommended Nilambar Acharya as the ambassador for India, Udaya Raj Pandey for Malaysia, Anjana Shakya for Israel and Krishna Prasad Dhakal for United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The four proposed ambassadors were grilled during the meeting of Parliamentary Hearing Committee today.
According to constitutional provision, the President should appoint the nominees after their names were endorsed by the PHC.
