Over 200,000 people await smart driving licences

The Transport Management Office in Ekantakuna, Lalitpur, has yet to distribute smart driving licences to more than 200,000 people who have already passed their driving test. Without driving credentials, they have been using the payment receipts issued by the office to drive. According to the office, 354,000 of the 557,700 applicants have obtained smart driving licences in the last four years. The remaining licences remain to be printed. (RSS)
