Ruling Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal (SSFN) has proposed holding its general convention in the second week of May, 2019.

A Political Committee meeting of the party held at Tinkune-based party headquarters in Kathmandu on Thursday has proposed May 11 and 12, 2019 for holding party’s general convention.

Party Chairman Upendra Yadav had floated a proposal to hold the general convention in May next year.

The party’s political committee has also decided to summon a central committee meeting on December 8 to make decisions on other political issues along with general convention. The meeting will be held in Balkumari, Lalitpur.

The meeting is expected dwell on party’s performance in the government, constitution amendment, formation of province committees and renewal of membership, among other issues.

Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Yadav apprised the meeting about the works and decisions the party made in the government till now.
