The government has sacked Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC)'s General Manager Bhupendra Prasad. Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation Bina Magar on Wednesday relieved Prasad from the post for his alleged involvedment in irregularities.
A high source at the Ministry informed that Prasad was sacked as he declined to work as per the agreement, was involved in irregularities, failing to manage the protests of NWSC employees among others.
The ministry source informed that deputy-secretary at the Ministry Lilanath Dhakal has been handed over the responsibility of the NWSC.
Prasad has been accused of being involved in irregularities worth Rs250 million while procuring drinking water pipelines in Butwal and Nepalgunj.
