3 men booked over Janaki temple graft

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Sunday filed a case against three persons in Special Court for alleged irregularities that took place during the construction of various buildings and structures on the premises of Janaki Temple in Janakpur, Dhanusha.
Om Prakash Yadav, chairman of Ram Janaki Temple Construction Consumers’ Committee, Ajaya Kumar Yadav, chairman of Bramhasthan Consumers’ Committee, and Anirudra Mandal of Janakpur Tourism Office are accused of appropriating Rs 135,000, Rs 131,000 and Rs 266,000 respectively from the temple development fund. The trio is accused of stealing from the fund by showing fake bills. (PR)
