Parents of Niramal Pant, the 13-year-old girl from Kanchanpur who was raped and murdered some three and a half months ago, have fallen sick during their indefinite sit-in.
Nirmala’s father Yagyaraj has got fever and is also suffering from low blood pressure while mother Durga Devi also has low blood pressure. Dr Kishor Bohora at Mahakali Zonal Hospital said they will decide on their course of treatment after further tests.
Pant’s parents, in an attempt to put pressure on the authorities to identify and arrest the culprit(s) behind the crime, started their indefinite sit-in protest in front of District Administration Office, Kanchanpur from 11am on Sunday.
