Krishna Subedi has been appointed as Social Development Minister of Sudurpachim Province after Dirgha Sodari was relieved from his post on Tuesday. Subedi was elected as Province Assembly member from Kailali Constituency No 4 (B).

Chief Minister of Sudurpachim Province Trilochan Bhatta administered the oath of office and secrecy to Subedi in the presence of Province Chief Mohan Raj Malla.

After he was administered the oath of office and secrecy, Subedi said that he would carry out his responsibility in an efficient way.

It has been learnt that Sodari was relieved from his post over an accident of his vehicle on November 9. Sodari’s jeep had collided with a motorcycle (Se 3 Pa 2420) on Friday at Badaipur in Kailali district along the East West Highway.

Three persons including driver Dhwojendra Shah, passenger Ayushma and motorcycle rider Surendra Chanda were injured in the incident. Sodari, however, was not in the vehicle during the accident. 

Sodari, however, said that he was removed from the post due to intra party factionalism.
