Police have arrested an Indian national along with illegally brought mobile phone sets in Saptari on Tuesday.
The police informed that Alok Mishra, 24, of Dagmara Gram Panchayat in Supaul district of Bihar State in India, was arrested along with 17 sets of illegally brought mobile phones of various brands worth Rs 188,800 during a security check.
Mishra was heading towards Nepal from Indian border on a motorcycle (BR 19 C 1501) when a police team from Area Police Office, Sakhada stopped him for a security check and found that he was carrying mobile sets brought illegally.
Police are conducting an investigation into the matter.
