Police have arrested four people accused in separate rape incidents from Udaypur and Terathum districts.

In Udaypur, police arrested a man for allegedly raping a woman with speech disabilities on Tuesday.

According to the police, 20-year-old Kishor Nepal of Triyuga Municipality-14 raped the 45-year-old woman with speech disabilities at a nearby forest.

Likewise, three people were arrested for raping a 17-year-old girl, a permanent resident of Mahalaxmi Municipality-9 and currently residing at Aangdim of Chathar Rural Municipality-1 in Terathum district.

The police informed that the girl, who also has speech disabilities, was raped some 3-4 months ago and the matter came into light after the victim became pregnant following the incident.

Police arrested Rudra Bahadur Magar, Dambar Bahadur Magar and Ajay Kumar Magar of Aangdim in Chathar Rural Municipality-1 in connection to the case.

Investigations are underway regarding the matter, said police.
