Police have arrested two persons along with illegal pharmaceutical drugs from Banke and Kathmandu districts on Tuesday.
According to the police, Sahare Alam, 18, of Baharaich Rupaidiya in India, was arrested from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-3, Banke, in possession of 89 gm brown sugar yesterday. Alam was arrested during a joint security check conducted by security personnel from Narcotic Control Regional Bureau and District Police Office.
Likewise, 27-year-old Saroj Kumar Thapa, a native of Belbari Municipality-8 in Morang district and currently residing in Tokha, Kathmandu, was arrested from Thamel for the illegal possession of various illegal drugs.
The police said that, during a security check last night, Thapa was caught along with 127 grams of hashish, 6 ampoules each of Phenergan, Diazepam, Lupigesic, 9 Isosorbide dinitrate (ISD), 500 grams of unidentified white powder and Rs 10,000.
