Kapilvastu
Curfew imposed by the District Administration Office in Krishnanagar of Kapilvastu from 5:00 pm on Monday has been lifted from 6am to 12pm on Tuesday.
The curfew was enforced after a clash between the local youths on Saturday went out of control during immersion of the idol of Goddess Durga.
The curfew was imposed up to the Nepal-India border to the south from Krishnanagar bazaar and up to Badhaya Pokhari of Shivanagar to the north while the curfew area covers Simara village to the east and Sirsihawa Chowk to the west.
The idol of Goddess Durga was immersed amid tight security provision. Life in Krishnanagar is gradually turning into normalcy with the lifting of the curfew. RSS
