A man died on the spot when a tractor hit a scooter he was riding on at Mujeliya of Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section in Janakpur Monday.
According to Surendra Yadav, Chief at the Area Police Office, Mujeliya, the deceased has been identified as Sandeep Nayak, 30, of Devi Chowk of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-10 in the district.
The tractor (Ja 2 Ta 113) heading towards Janakpurdham hit the two-wheeler (Ja 9 Pa 6133) en route to Mujeliya this morning.
Police said that the pillion rider, who sustained critical injuries in the incident, is undergoing treatment at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital.
Police said they have started a manhunt to nab the tractor driver who fled the scene after the incident. RSS
