Two persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in gang raping a 16-year-old girl of Devdaha in Rupendahi.
The suspects have been identified as Udaya Thapa, 35, of Devdaha and Krishna Thapa, 26, of Butwal. Police said the two others, who were involved in the heinous crime, are at large.
Four persons on Tuesday night had taken the girl to a jungle at Shivanagar, Butwal on the pretext of showing her around and gang raped her, police said. The two others who had taken the girl to the jungle on a bike are on the run.
DSP Udaya Thapa, Chief at the District Police Office, Rupandehi, said that a gang rape case has been filed against them.
