Two persons died and 12 others were injured in a jeep accident at Manibagar in Bungal Municipality-5, Bajhang district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Bishna Devi Bohara, 65, of Bedkot Municipality-5, Kanchanpur and Dhan Bahadur Bohara, 56, of Ghodaghodi Municipality-5, Kailali district.

The jeep (Se 1 Ja 726) was heading towards Bijgada of Mugal Municipality from Bagthala of Kedarsyu Rural Municipality when the incident occurred.

Mudu Bohara, 30, Prem Bohara, 35, Kabita Bohara, 10, Maya Bohara, 12, Lalmati Bohara, 43, Chandra Singh Bohara and Birendra Bohara of Bedkot Municiaplity, Kanchanpur , Narendra Kunwar, Krishna Kunwar and Dhirendra Bohara of Bugal Municipality-6 were injured in the incident, District Police Office, Bajhang informed.

Driver Rana Bahadur Khati, 42 of Kedarsyu Rural Municipality and assistant driver Sunil Khati were also injured in the incident.

Five persons, who were critically injured in the incident, have been taken to Nepalgunj for treatment while others are undergoing treatment at the Deura Health Post.
