Police have arrested a fuel tanker driver in possession of 295 kg of marijuana from Ramantar in Manahari Rural Municipality-7, Hetauda on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Narcotics Control Bureau, Koteshwor, arrested Prahlad Thakuri, 33, and impounded the tanker (Na 4 Kha 3969) en route to Hetauda from Manahari.

Police said that they found seven packets of marijuana from the compartment No 1 of the tanker while 15 packets were recovered from compartment No 2.
