Two persons were killed leaving nine others injured in a road accident that occurred at Myagde Rural Municipality of Tanahun district on Tuesday.
According to DSP Govinda Puri of Gandaki Province Police Office, Saraswati Kunwar, 35, of Byas Municipality-11 and Chiz Kumari Batas, 50, of Byas Municipality-4 died in course of treatment after the microbus (Ba 3 Kha 4442) they were travelling in collided with a bus (Lu 1 Kha 4195) at Manahari of Myagde Rural Municipality-4.
According to police, of the injured 7 are receiving medical treatment at Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital while other two are receiving treatment at gandaki Medical College.
Police have detained the bus driver Chiranjivi Shrestha while the driver of the mircobus is injured.
