Police have seized clothes and other materials worth around Rs 1.75 million from Katti Village near Dasgaja of Manarasisawa Municipality-1 on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, an Armed Police Force (APF) team deployed under the command of Keshav Bhandari, Chief at the Custom’s office, confiscated clothes and other materials smuggled from India.
Police said that they have also impounded a two-wheeler bearing Indian registration number plate.
Bhandari said that the clothes and other materials were found abandoned on the road side near Dasgaja.
As Dashain festival gets closer, smuggling of goods from India via illegal trading points has been increasing.
