A person died and two others were injured when a pickup van met with an accident at Sharada Municipality-13 in Salyan on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Hukumi BK, 55, of Pipalneta, Bagchaur Municipality-10.

Police identified the injured as Bal Bahadur BK, 65, and driver Kamal BK, 21. They are being treated at a local health post in Shreenagar.

The incident occurred when the vehicle en route to Shreenagar from Syanikhal skidded off the road and fell some 200 meters down.

The reason behind the accident is yet to be established, said DSP Birendra Bahadur Shahi of the District Police Office, Salyan.

Police said that they are looking into the case. RSS
