The District Court Udayapur has convicted a youth to 12 years in prison on the charge of raping a minor.
A single bench of District Court judge Tirtha Raj KC found 19-year-old Hem Bahadur Karki of Motigada, Triyuga Municipality-3 guilty of raping a five-year-old girl and ordered him imprisoned for 12 years. The court also fined him Rs 50,000.
The victim's parents had lodged a complaint against Karki at the District Police Office in September last year. He was arrested after the complaint against him was received.
Likewise, the District Court Udayapur on Monday convicted 62-year-old Sudhilal Chaudhary on rape charge and ordered seven years imprisonment and Rs 30,000 fine from him. RSS
