At least 19 people were injured when a bus met with an accident at Kolbote along the Koshi Highway on Wednesday.

According to the police, the ill-fated bus (Ko 1 Kha 3583), heading towards Namaste Falls in Sangurigadi Rural Municipality from Inaruwa, Sunsari, lost control in a steep road section and met with the accident along the Dharan-Dhankuta road at around 11am.

All the injured have been taken to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for medical treatment. Of them, three are reported to be in serious condition.

Police and locals reached the accident site and rescued the injured.
