Okharpauwa in Kakani Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, remained tense on Monday after

a garbage-carrying tipper killed a local.

SP Bhim Bhattarai said the tipper (Ba 2 Kha 6118) killed local Padam Balami, 45, at around 7:30 am today. Locals vandalised the tipper and obstructed the vehicles carrying garbage to Sisdole landfill site.

Earlier in the day, a police team heading to Okharpauwa was stuck on the way after a landslide obstructed the road at Chisedhara in Kakani Rural Municipality along the Pasang Lhamu Highway. 

The tipper driver is on the run following the incident.
