Three persons including a community forest chairman of Kabre, Baityashwor Rural Munipality, Dolakha were arrested in possession of a leopard hide on Wednesday.
The suspects have been identified as Bhusune Sangure Community Forest Chairman Narad Sunuwar, Pradeep Gajmer and Bed Bahadur Sunuwar of Kabre, Baityashwor Rural Municipality.
Police said that they have confiscated the leopard hide which was 5.9 feet long and 2.6 feet wide from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Dolakha arrested them while they were searching for prospective clients to sell the hide.
They have been handed over to the District Forest Office for investigation, police said.
