A 30-year-old man killed his 23-year-old girlfriend after she refused to marry him in Sidraha, Gramthan-3, Morang on Friday. Police said Dinesh Bhattarai of Biratnagar-13 assaulted Shikha Ghimire with a Dau (sharp weapon) after the refusal.

Police said Dinesh Bhattarai of Biratnagar-13 assaulted Shikha Ghimire with a Dau (sharp weapon) after the refusal.
“The body was thrown by the canal’s side and was marred with several cuts all over it,” said Ram Kumar Rai, police inspector of the Area Police Office Belbari. Locals detained Dinesh and handed him over to the police.
In the statement, Dinesh told that he killed Shikha because she refused to marry him and instead she wanted to go to Australia with her new boyfriend. (PR)
