A party cadre of Netra Bikarm Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), which has called for a general strike on Tuesday, has been arrested for issuing threats to shutdown schools in Dolakha.
According to the police, CPN member Shyam Pakrin was arrested on Monday for threatening various schools in district headquarters Charikot through telephone.
A teacher at a local school here informed that various schools received threatening phone calls to shutdown educational activities.
DSP Basudev Pathak informed that Pakhrin was arrested for carrying out illegal activities.
Meanwhile, Pakhrin has said that he is a member of Red Youth but is not involved in any programmes of protest.
