Police have arrested a person who allegedly held a girl hostage for two days and raped her in Kalikot district on Saturday.

A 28-year-old man of Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-5 was arrested after a police complaint was filed accusing him of holding the victim hostage for two days from August 3-5 at a house in Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality-3 and raping her.

Police Inspector Niroj Chaulagain informed that a medical examination of the victim was conducted at the district hospital on August 10 and the police is investigating the matter.
