An eleven-month-old boy died in a jeep accident at a busy market place of Tansen, Palpa, on Sunday.
Police said Nisan Bashyal of Bagnaskali Rural Municipality died and four others were injured when the jeep (Ga 1 Cha 6748) hit them on a downhill road. Police said the jeep was heading to bus park from Hulak Mod when it hit them. The jeep also hit seven motorcycles before coming to rest.
The injured are receiving treatment at United Mission Hospital.
Police has arrested driver Kamal Bahadur Khatri. They suspected the accident might have been caused after the jeep's brakes failed.
