At least 16 persons were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Modi Rural Municipality in Parbat district on Monday.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ga 1 Kha 5598) heading towards Mustang from Pokhara skidded off the road and fell some 30 metres down at Beteni in Modi-6 along the Pokhara-Baglung road section at around 9 am today.

According to police Inspector and spokesperson at the District Police Office, Parbat, Suraj Khatri, among the injured six have been taken to the Gandaki Hospital for treatment while 10 others have been taken to the District Hospital.
