The Besisahar-Chame road section, the only roadway that connects Manag district to the rest of the country, has been obstructed following a landslide at Chyamche in Marshyangdi Rural Municipality on Monday.
According to the locals, the landslide occurred at around 3pm yesterday at Chyamche, Marshyangdi Rural Municipalit-4 halting all vehicular movement.
DSP Yadav Dhakal informed that a dozer is clearing the landslide debris. “We have deployed police in the area,” said DSP Dhakal, “We are trying to resume movement along the road section by clearing the debris with the help of a dozer.”
The landslide site is some 30km away from Beshisahar of Lamjung and the disaster has affected tourists and commuters trekking along the Annapurna Circuit.
