Landslides triggered by continuous rainfall since early Sunday morning has blocked the Butwal-Palpa section of the Siddhartha highway.
Landslide occurred at a place called headbox in Tinau rural municipality, Palpa along the way, police said. This is the sixth time in this monsoon that the road has been obstructed at the same location.
As a result, a large number of travelers have been affected. Incessant rainfall has been hampering efforts made to clear the debris of the landslide, the Western Regional Traffic Police Office, Butwal has said. It added it will take some time before traffic is resumed along the roadway. RSS
