At least five secretaries will visit all the provincial capitals jointly next week and interact with the chief ministers, ministers and senior bureaucrats for taking stock of the situation they are facing.
The Prime Minister’s Office has taken initiatives to dispatch the team to discuss problems facing the provincial governments in all the aspects of budget, legislation, resource mobilisation, coordination with the Centre, status of the local bodies and administrative issues, among others, said a PMO secretary.
Chief ministers of several provinces have complained that the federal government has centralised power, has not allotted adequate resources to the provinces even as they tackle staff and administrative issues. (PR)
