Anti-corruption crusader Dr Govinda KC’s health is said to be critical as he refuses health examination and medical aid without the government addressing his demands first.
Dr KC has denied aid since the government brought him to the Capital forcefully by creating a violent scene at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) in Jumla where he launched his 15th hunger strike on June 30.
On the health condition of Dr KC, Dr Abhishek Raj Singh, a member of Dr KC’s talks team, said, “His refusal to allow health check-up leaves his condition unknown. We have no exact idea about his health condition but it is ‘very critical’.” Dr KC had problems in his heart and lacked potassium, magnesium and calcium in his blood when his health was last checked at the KAHS.
