A police officer has been injured after being hit by a bullet fired by another police during the baton charge at Karnali Academy of Health Science against the supporters of Dr Govinda KC on Thursday.
The police had resorted to baton charge at the KAHS soon after the team led by Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, who was at the academy to facilitate the transport of Dr KC to Kathmandu for medical treatment, exited the hospital premises.
The injured policeman has sustained bullet injury to his chest and is receiving medical treatment at the KAHS.
Meanwhile, over a dozen students and doctors have been left injured following the police action.
