Fasting Dr Govinda KC has been forcefully taken to Nepal Army barrack in Jumla. A Nepal Army chopper has flown him to Kathmandu.

Karnali province Chief Minister Mohan Bahadur Shahi, Karnali Internal Affairs Minister Narendra Kandel, Education Ministry Secretary Khagaraj Baral, Department of Health Director General Gunaraj Lohani and a police team is onboard the chopper.

The chopper will refuel in Surkhet and will fly to Kathmandu.

Police had to baton charge at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) where local women tried to obstruct security personnel from hauling Dr KC from the KAHS premises to the NA barrack. Situation has become tense once in the hospital following forceful removal of the fasting doctor.

KC had agreed to fly to Kathmandu after police baton charged and even fired bullets when students and locals protested at KAHS.
