Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Tara Subba died in course of treatment in Kathmandu on Tuesday. Subba was suffering from severe pneumonia for past one week. He was brought to Dhapasi-based Grande Hospital where he breathed his last at 11am this morning while undergoing treatment.

According to Grande Hospital, Mayor Subba was referred by Nidan Hospital eight days ago. Mayor Subba, a patient of high blood pressure and diabetes, had undergone kidney transplant operation three-years-ago in India, the hospital said.
