The ongoing spell of heavy rainfall is likely to continue for the next three days, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Heavy rains since Wednesday afternoon wreaked havoc in different parts of the country. Weathermen have said monsoon has been active. According to Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti, rainfall will occur mostly in the central and western parts of the country.
In a special weather bulletin, the MFD said rainfall will become more intense in places from Thursday night. Light to moderate rainfall has been forecast until Saturday afternoon.
In the last 24-hours, rainfall was recorded 94.7mm in Lumle of Pokhara, 81mm in Jiri, 65.3mm in Kathmandu Valley and 36.7mm in Taplejung.
