Dr KC has been staging an indefinite hunger strike for the past 12 days in Jumla seeking reforms in country’s medical education sector.
Medical personnel across the country halted all services except emergency for one-hour and organised various protest programmes and sit-ins, according to NMA Chairman Dr Muktiram Shrestha.
NMA Chairman Shrestha informed that hospital staffers at Bir Hospital took part in the protest from 10-100 am while medical personnel at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital organised protest programme from 11am-12pm today.
The association has also warned of intensifying their protest that could lead to shutting down all services except emergency if the government fails to resolve the issue.
