A person died on the spot and nine others were injured in a road accident at Yangbarak rural municipality-3 in Panchthar district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Kailash Adhikari, 35, of Chyanthapu.

The accident took place when a jeep (Me 1 Ja 2051) heading towards Phidim from Yangbarak rural municipality fell 250 metres down from Chaite cliff at Yangbarak-3 at 8:00 am, said police.

Of the injured, condition of two is critical, added police. A total of 10 people were travelling in the jeep. RSS
