Two persons died after being struck by lightning at Sunwal Municipality of West Nawalparasi on Sunday.
According to the police, Yam Kumar Mahato, 24 and Yam Kumari Mahato of Ram Gram Municipality-14, who were currently residing at Sunwal-4 died after being struck by lightning while they were planting paddy in a field at Gaidakhal in Sunwal Municipality-10 this afternoon. Another member of the family, Babita Mahato, 18, was injured in the incident.
The Mahato couple who were seriously injured in the incident died while being brought to the Parasi-based Prithvi Chand District Hospital.
Meanwhile, Babita is undergoing treatment at the district hospital, informed police.
