Traffic resumes at Narayangadh-Muglin road after 12-hrs

Hundreds of passengers heading for Kathmandu and Pokhara were stranded on the way for around 12 hours after a landslide occurred at Tope Khola at around 5 in the morning and another landslide at Kalikhola.

It is said that these areas continue to be hit by landslides for the past two weeks. The cutting of the roadside hill for widening the road has made the highway susceptible to frequent landslides.
The road experienced landslides almost every day this week. The road was obstructed for about 11 hours due to landslide on June 26. The highway is the lifeline connecting the eastern and western parts of the country with Kathmandu. Around 10,000 vehicles play the road daily.
