Nepali Congress (NC) members obstructed the National Assembly meeting on Wednesday. The NA meeting was postponed for 15 minutes.
The meeting was postponed after NC Parliamentary Party leader of the National Assembly, Surendra Raj Pandey, protested while speaking during the special hour.
He demanded the government inform the House about the issue of declaring different places of Kathmandu Valley as prohibited areas.
Saying the government has turned its deaf ears to the hunger strike staged by Gangamaya Adhikari and has not responded to the queries raised by lawmakers, Pandey said they would not let the House proceed unless the government addressed the issues.
Soon after that, all the NC lawmakers stood from their respective seats as a gesture of their protest.
